2008-2010

The Return to Freetown & Early Media Involvement
In April 2008, Ellen Keister relocated to Freetown, Sierra Leone, driven by her aspiration to contribute to local communities. Throughout 2009, she became actively involved in mental health initiatives, conducting workshops and seminars. By 2010, Ellen ventured into the media landscape as the host of the dance competition show “U Sabi Dance?”, marking her initial foray into Sierra Leonean entertainment.

Ellen’s media career took off in May 2011 when she was contracted by Airtel, now known as Orange Telecommunication, to host an entertainment show called “Ur Airtel Playlist.” By 2014, her prowess as a TV presenter had earned her multiple local awards, solidifying her reputation in the industry.

In 2015, Ellen transitioned to the role of producer for “Ur Airtel Playlist,” demonstrating her versatility in the media landscape.
