Ellen Keister is more than just a natural problem-solver; she’s a force of nature in Sierra Leone’s Entertainment Industry—an industry she’s deeply passionate about. From orchestrating Madengn, Sierra Leone’s largest beach festival, to captivating audiences on “U Sabi Dance” (Can You Dance?) TV Show, to emceeing major music events across the nation, her influence is palpable. In 2010, she expanded her reach by launching her inaugural TV program, “The Ellen Keister Chat Room,” broadcasted on the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation. Her indelible impact on Sierra Leonean artists and entertainers inspired her to establish Reems Entertainment, a holistic talent management firm specializing in PR, advertising, and branding.

About Host ELLEN KEISTER

Born to the lush landscapes of Portland, Oregon, USA, and shaped by the vibrant cultures of Freetown, Sierra Leone, Ellen Keister is more than a renowned TV Presenter, MC, and Entrepreneur — she’s a cultural bridge. Ellen spent her formative years soaking in the rich tapestry of life in Freetown before heading to the United States, where she graduated with honors from David Douglas High School in Portland, Oregon.

In 2004, Ellen earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the esteemed University of Maryland, Baltimore. After graduation, she entered the workforce with a focus on community and mental health, gathering invaluable experience in diverse roles. She served as a Supported Employment Manager at the Community Services for Autistic Adults and Children (CSAAC), a Case Manager with the District of Columbia Government’s Mental Retardation Developmental Disability Administration (MRDDA), and a Rehabilitation Coordinator with Rehabilitation Services Inc. in Maryland.

Armed with a wealth of knowledge and driven by a purpose greater than herself, Ellen returned to her roots in Freetown, Sierra Leone in April 2008. Her mission: to volunteer her expertise for causes that would make a meaningful impact in the community.

By May 2011, her reputation caught the attention of Airtel, now known as Orange Telecommunication. She became the charismatic host of the entertainment show “Ur Airtel Playlist,” eventually transitioning to the role of producer after a successful seven-year stint.

As of 2020, Ellen has expanded her reach beyond the Sierra Leonean borders, serving as an exclusive consultant and advisor in entertainment, public relations, and communications across Africa. She is also the creative force behind “Real Talk With Ellen,” a ground-breaking lifestyle and reality talk show that delves into the raw and unfiltered narratives of everyday Sierra Leoneans, one compelling episode at a time.
